Botulinum toxin for men: rested, not different

Why more men are doing it

It is rarely vanity. It is the gap between how a man feels and how his face reads. The vertical lines between the brows signal tension even when he is calm. Forehead lines show at rest from a certain point on. Crow's feet add years he does not feel.

What changes on a male face

A male face is not a female face with a beard. Three things change the technique.

The muscles are bigger. The corrugator, which makes the frown lines, is clearly stronger in a man than in a woman of the same age. The dose for the same effect is higher. Treat a man with a female dose and the result does little and fades early.

The brows stay flat. On a woman, the toxin can give the brow a slight arch. On a man that arch looks misplaced. The aim is to keep the position.

The expression stays. Every man's fear is the frozen face. A treatment done well keeps most of the movement and lowers the force behind the line. People notice he looks rested. Nothing more.

The areas men treat most

How the first consultation goes

It starts with a conversation. The clinical team watches your face move: you frown, raise your brows, smile, so they can see how strong each muscle is. Then they ask what bothers you and what you want to keep.

From there:

1. The dose is set, calibrated for male muscle.
2. You see the price before you decide anything.
3. If you want, you are treated in that same session. About 15 minutes per area.
4. Two to three weeks later we review the result. If something needs adjusting, we adjust it.
