Cheekbone filler
The cheekbones hold up the middle of the face. When they lose volume, from about 35 or 40, the face drops: the fold between nose and mouth deepens, the under-eye hollow shows, the skin looks tired. Putting that volume back with hyaluronic acid restores the projection where it was and, often, softens the fold without touching it.
This is not about giving every face high cheekbones. At the consultation we see where the volume went, what the bone structure is like and what age and weight have done. A round face needs little; a face that has lost weight needs more. That is where the amount is decided.
The session takes 30 minutes. It costs €219 per millilitre. The result lasts 12 to 18 months.
What changes with cheekbone filler
A dense hyaluronic acid gel placed deep, on the bone, to restore the volume the mid-face loses from about 35 or 40. The projection returns to where it was, and the face gets its support back.
Is it for you?
A mid-face that has dropped: a deeper fold between nose and mouth, an under-eye hollow that shows, skin that reads tired. It is not about giving every face high cheekbones; some faces do not belong with them, and we say so.
What happens in the session
Numbing cream, then the gel goes in with a cannula in most cases, which means fewer bruises. Small amounts, placed on the bone. Thirty minutes.

No sauna, gym or alcohol for 48 hours. A small bruise can happen and passes.
Why it looks natural
An overdone cheek is usually a placement error: gel set too high, or too superficially, on a face that never had high cheekbones to begin with. We place a dense gel deep, on the bone, in small amounts, restoring the support the mid-face had at 35. Starting with less and reassessing at 4 weeks is the margin that keeps the face yours.

Will my face look puffy?
No. The gel goes deep, onto the bone, in small amounts. What shows is a face with more support, the same size it always was. A "pillowy" face is too much product in the wrong plane; that is what we avoid.
How much hyaluronic acid is needed?
Often 1 ml for both sides is enough to replace what was lost. A larger loss may need 2 ml. We prefer to start with less and reassess at 4 weeks.
Does it help the nasolabial fold?
Yes, in many cases. The fold deepens because the cheek has dropped. Restoring the support above softens it below. When that is not enough, we treat the fold separately.
How long does it last?
Between 12 and 18 months. The area moves little and the dense gel breaks down slowly.
Does it hurt?
Numbing cream first and lidocaine in the gel. With a cannula you feel pressure and little else.
Do I need downtime?
No. There may be light swelling for 2 or 3 days and a small bruise. Avoid sauna, gym and alcohol for 48 hours.
Does it suit every face?
No. Some faces do not belong with a high cheekbone. The aim is to replace what age took. We tell you at the consultation what makes sense.
