Who is forehead botulinum toxin for?
Anyone who already sees the horizontal lines at rest, or sees them starting. Age matters less than the muscle: some foreheads mark at 28, others not until 45. At the consultation we tell you whether it makes sense for you, and if it does not, we say so.
How long does it last?
Between 3 and 6 months. It depends on your metabolism, the strength of the muscle and the dose. People who repeat it regularly tend to see the interval grow.
Will I still be able to move my forehead?
Yes. The aim is to reduce the contraction that creases the skin; the muscle keeps working. If you would rather have an almost still forehead, say so at the consultation; the dose is yours to choose.
What are the risks?
It is one of the most studied procedures in aesthetic medicine. The most common side effects are a small bruise at an injection point, a mild headache in the first hours and, rarely, a brow that drops for a few weeks. Checking brow position before injecting is what prevents the last one.

What if the line is already there at rest?
The toxin reduces the movement, but a line that has already settled in may not disappear completely. In those cases a small amount of hyaluronic acid softens what remains. We look at it case by case.
